I have long heard that when you notice a smell of baby powder and there is no baby around, usually that mean someone you know have died. It has happened to me many times, and each time, within an hour of the baby powder smell someone I know died.
When I lived in Austin I woke up at 3AM and there was a strong smell of baby powder in my room. Since I lived alone, with no baby I immediately knew that what it meant, and within a few minutes of waking up, I heard sirens, which stopped over at my best friends house doors down the street. I found out some hours later that my best friends father suffered a heart attack in his sleep and died before the ambulance reached the house.
Another experience I want to share with you happened while I me and my husband were on our honeymoon, we had been saving for years and had enough to do both Rome and Paris for two weeks each, it was so beautiful, just like a dream. Then two weeks after returning from the honeymoon of our dreams, my life changed forever. My husband was working late at the office. I was getting ready for dinner, I went to our bedroom to change clothes, suddenly I felt a very strong smell of baby powder. And at this instant the phone rang and I answered. I was told that I had come to the hospital immediately since my husband had been involved in a car accident. I went to the hospital shaking and worried. I smelt the baby powder in the car all the way to the hospital, and when I arrived, I was told by the emergency room doctor, that my husband just passed away about two or three minutes before I arrived.

Your story was incredible! I have never heard this about the smell of baby powder before.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I smell baby powder a few days ago... no powder or person putting powder on. It was only around us and a little while later just my husband. No one passed. We thought it was his mom or aunt who had passed years ago just visiting. it was interesting and a fun visit.
ReplyDeleteI got an overwhelming smell of baby powder 20 minutes ago and I'm still smelling it. No babies in site. It followed me from room to room of my house. I looked it up and found this blog. Geez, this is scary. I hope it's wrong.
ReplyDeleteLast night as I was laying in bed I got a strong scent of baby powder at the edge of my bed...I'm pregnant and my nose is sensitive. I ask my husband if he smelled it too he said yea... then he joked and said maybe it was a ghost... my 2 year old doesn't use baby lotion or shampoo or powder....she's too grown for that so it hasn't been used in forever. I haven't heard of anyone passing away today.... it was a very intense smell that got so strong it burned my eyes a little making my nose run.... I know several years ago there was a girl child ghost that haunted my family....going from house to house....she would get in bed with us and open the fridge play with our toys....appeared to be 3 years old... I'm wondering if it's not her.... visiting.... a bit disturbing as she visits my relatives who are having relationship problems...she's been present for many overdoses....my aunt tried burning down the trailor....was found with her arms cut in a bathtub with stove eyes burning bright nearly in fire with her young child in the home.... my daughter who is 2 also woke up early screaming and was very cold which never happens....
ReplyDeleteI really hope this isn't what is going on, so close to Christmas. My parents aren't in good health along with my sister-in-law. My grandmother has been hanging around a lot lately (her spirit, I recognize her scent) This morning I started smelling baby powder and know of nobody with that scent, living or deceased.
ReplyDeleteJust smelled it about 5 minutes ago, googled it and found this site..... freaked out....and reading this is not helping.
ReplyDeleteI just got a nose full and no baby in my house, ever!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you posted wtf.
I've been smelling baby powder all day today with no baby in sight. It's like its right under my nose everywhere I go. I came across this and many others saying the same thing. I pray its wrong.
ReplyDeleteSimple google search landed me here - I thought it was a one off until I started noticing it and even till now as I'm typing this. From room to room and even when I'm outside its intermittent, its been happening for the last couple days as far as I can remember - guess I'll definitely post back if anything happens
ReplyDeleteI lost my daughter 11 years ago she was only 28 days old. I never washer her blankets or clothes as they smelt just like her, weirdly comforting as it was mainly spittle and baby powder. Anyway a few years back my brother had her blanket made into a large quilted cushion for me... I have slept with it ever since and came to a point where I had to wash it. It has been 2 years since I've had the cushion and today randomly my 4 year old smelt just like how I remember my daughters things to smell, I thought nothing of it even though he was dirty and playing in the garden all day the talc smell was strong. Anyway literally just sat here with a glass of wine had a sip and smelt it again very strong, my husband looked at me strangely as I sniffed my hand and wine glass lol but the scent disappeared almost instantly. I'm now thinking something must be here for some reason... Ok so this is where it gets weird. After my daughter died my mum stored all her things in her attic for me in a large trunk with lillies painted on and tomorrow I have planned to go around to help my mum pack up the attic ready to move in 6 weeks. Maybe my daughter is saying she will be there? I hope so ❤️
ReplyDeleteI've been smelling Johnson's baby powder randomly almost 4 consecutive days now. Smell is the strongest stronger noon time and Even my housemates smells it just the same as me. What makes it weird is that and no one uses baby powder in our house. If someone we know passed away, why has it been happening for days? No news from our family of someone passing away too... can anyone help us? In the morning it seems as if we have inhaled too much powder that we could almost taste it as if it gets stuch in our throats... of perhaps its a fragment of our imagination.... but still... that smell just pops out without an known cause every day at the same time. We have lived in this house for a decade with no such incident ever happening until now. Please... anyone can help?
