Displaced Hauntings - The Haunted Railroad Tracks - San Antonio, Texas / Salt Lake City, Utah

Introduction;
Sometimes paranormal events happens in places and locations that are not connected, one example of this is the sightings of Al Capone at the Congress Plaza Hotel, that are rumored to one time be Al Capone's base of operation. This also reminds me about a paranormal experiment that I read about a few years ago. Here a group of researcher and a medium worked on conjuring an artificial spirit (it was scribed for them in great detail beforehand), a being that never existed, but as the experiment continued on they reported the artificial haunting to mimic the ahead of time descriptions of this very non-existing spirit that they were supposed to summon.

Back a few months ago I watched a story about the haunted railroad tracks near San Antonio, Texas. It was a investigative news show but, I just can not remember what one it was. I researched it a bit and what I found was the following;

Many, many years ago somewhere around the late 1930s or 1940s a school bus with ten children and the bus driver were crossing the railroad tracks near San Antonio, Texas at an intersection of the San Juan Mission. The bus became stalled right over the tracks. A train came along and couldn't stop and plowed into the school bus, killing all who were on that bus. Since then it has been reported that if you drive up to the tracks and stop and put your car out of gear or even turn your car off, The children spirits from that school bus will push your car over the tracks to safety. Not only that but, it is said that if you put some powder on the back bumper, you can see hand prints of the children that pushed your car up the small incline to safety.

Other strange things have been reported at the accident site. Things like taking photos and when the film is developed you can see figures that were not there when the photo was taken. Some people have heard children crying, some people have actually had car trouble on the tracks and were pushed to safety by an unknown force.

The reporter in this news show did indeed put powder on her car's back bumper and then drive up to the tracks. She stopped her car and turned it off. She was indeed flabbergasted as her car started to go up the small incline and across the rail road tracks and toward the curve on the other side of the tracks, and most amazing of all was a small hand print in the powder. I saw the show myself, I can't explain what I saw. As far as I am concerned, There are spirits of 10 little children there helping people across the rail road tracks. They also mentioned how the names of those ten children are still remembered as street names around the rail road tracks where this horrible accident happened.

What is more interesting is that the story seem to point to a real accident that happened miles away in Salt Lake City, Utah in December of 1938. The names of the signs in the area San Juan Mission Railroad are actually named after the developers of the railroad tracks, and they never perished in any accidents.

This make me wonder how could the hand print appeared on the back of the reporters truck. Did they fake it for the sake of the show? or had some of the spirit kids over in Salt Lake City that somehow transferred themselves to help out not only in cases of possible railroad track accidents far away from their real place of horrific departure, summoned by the growing legend itself? or does this have more down to earth explanation.

The Blue Light Cemetery - Spring, Texas

It was the summer of 2005, my friends and I were young and daring. I had known for years that there was a supposedly haunted cemetery in our area, but had never gotten around to checking it out. A friend had mentioned that there had been some cult activity their throughout the 70's and 80's, which only made it that more luring. On a typical boring afternoon I managed to talk a friend into making the 30 minute drive into the boonies to check this place out! It was a good thing that we found The Blue Light Cemetery during the day, due to its remote location deep in Piney woods. After a lot of searching, we found ourselves at an overgrown locked gate marked no trespassing. Well then we turned around and went home. No, I am just yanking your chain because this is where our story begins!

The entrance to the place is an unkept dirt road, certainly not used for vehicle access due to it's narrowness and forest intrusion. At night time the forest around the road is pitch black. About half of a mile down, the road opens into a field where you get your view of the cemetery. My friend and I spent a few hours walking around checking graves and the area. It was interesting because some of the graves dates as far back as the late 1700's. There were many older graves in the forest along a network of old trails circling the cemetery. A few creepy things that we noticed during our day trip were a few rope nooses handing from random trees, a very large wooden cross that seemed anything but holy and a erie "alter" like platform high in the surrounding Ponderosa Pines. The platform must have been 100 feet of the ground at a height far to high for hunting or children playing.

When we returned to the cemetery around eleven it was all dark! We noticed that as we entered the field the darkness lifted as the glow of the cemetery invited us. I don't know if blue is how I would explain it, but there was a fog that seemed to set in as we arrived. I have heard that the moon, swamp gas and bla bla bla can play tricks on the mind, but not here. If there was doubt in my mind, my best friend and my brother were along my side. It was creepy! The one thing that really caught our attention that evening was a small fold out chair that was placed in the corner of the cemetery. This chair was not there earlier! The chair was in a place overlooking the entire cemetery. We didn't see much that evening but should not have returned!

The second visit is not even worth talking about. A few guys wandering around the forest searching for a thrill that can't be explained. When you encounter something that has no logical explanation, it is a rush equal to doing over 150 mph or jumping of a 50 ft cliff. That is what led us back again.

The third visit was a little different. We arrived around 2 AM and decided that the cemetery was not enough. As we were walking through the trails we came to a place where it was still. Complete silence, and then voices..... Loud voices, not our voices! This also happened to be right by that "alter" I referred earlier in the trees. As we split, this thing followed us all the way tot he road. It chased us! chanting all the while. We all made it to my jeep thinking our troubles were over. Again we were in for a treat!

As I turned on my jeep, we instantly noticed that there was a big problem with my stereo. Instead of music there was white noise. The noise changed pitches from low tones to high pitched, back and forth. I kept switching from CD to radio, but there was nothing but white noise. This had never happened before and we were unable to find a logical explanation. At the time I had a very expensive after market stereo which never had any issues. I even asked an expert installer at the stereo shop and he said that he had never encountered an issue like this white noise. The noise continued until we got back into civilization and everything with the stereo went back to normal The noise that we heard was a warning to us for us to never come back. It was clear between the three of us that whatever chased us out of the forest that evening was present in the jeep on the way home. That was our encounter at the Blue Light Cemetery, which was much scarier if you were there.

The Aurora Texas UFO Incident

The Aurora Texas Cemetery Sign

As of July 2009, The population of this small Texas town was only 1,044. Even though it would seem like a lot of small towns across the country, Aurora has one big difference. That difference is, the residents of that small farming town are said to have an alien buried there in a local cemetery.

The town's claim to fame is that in April of 1897 a ufo crashed there and, the residents of that small town gave the alien body that was found in the wreckage of the ufo a proper burial at the local cemetery. The news of this alleged event spread all over the country and newspapers all over carried the story. UPI also got hold of the news and UPI director Hayden Hawes  has said that they will fight in court to have the grave site of this alleged alien reopened.

There is also as you may have already guessed, evidence of a military coverup of this event. It seems that right after the crash a lot of military personal descended on this small Texas farm town and took all evidence of the crash away. Now all that remains is photos of the head stone that was once at the head of the grave. It has been suggested that military personal took the alleged alien body away.

I guess we will never know what really happened in Aurora in April of 1897.
Maybe as the article suggest, It might be best to let the incident remain a mystery.

My Paranormal Life

Illustration by PJ 2007: The Birch Tree, symbolizing life itself

Hi! My name is Pamela. I live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband of 18 years, Guy, and our 3 dogs. :) I was born and raised in New York City. I grew up in a house in Queens that was buzzing with paranormal activity for all of my childhood.

First of all, my grandfather passed away on April 16th, 1962, of a stroke. My mother, a nurse at the time, was at his bedside when he died. I was born 4 years later, on the same day. I lived in the house with my mother and my younger sister, Cookie, upstairs from my grandmother. We didn't know for many years that the room we slept in belonged to our great grandmother, who died in her sleep in the same room.

My family has a history of foreseeing the future in dreams, and feeling and seeing things other people can't. You might call us, hyper-sensitives. It has taken years for me to accept the fact that this is what I am. I have had so many experiences that I don't know where to start but I've learned why they happened; there was an incredible amount of anger and tension in my house. My mother and grandmother did not get along at all....they would go for months without speaking. My mother was an alcoholic and suffered from depression. My grandmother was sick with diabetes and high blood pressure, and she survived breast cancer.

At age four, I saw something white float across the hallway; it looked exactly like the spirit that floated down the stairs in the movie "Poltergeist." I told my mother, and she believed me but she didn't try to investigate what I saw. I wasn't frightened by it either; I was more fascinated than anything else.

Things continued to happen all through my childhood, but the worst places in the house were the attic and the basement. The washing machine was in the basement, and whenever I was done with the laundry, I always felt the need to run out of there, like something was behind me about to get me. And I'd slam the door and lock it. The vibe in that room was very uncomfortable and most evil. The attic always seemed as tight as a tomb; even with the windows open, there didn't seem to be any air flowing there. All there seemed to be was residual tension with all the relics of my mother's unhappy past; her wedding gown, her shoes, my cousin's uniform and boots from when he returned from Viet Nam....Cookie and I loved to play in the wedding gown, but it always seemed to break my mom's heart just a little when she saw us in it.

As I got older, more started to happen. I heard dishes being banged around in the kitchen as I tried to sleep. About the same time every night, my mom and I heard banging on the walls in the living room. I was taught about the Bible and how God would protect you from these kinds of things if you prayed, but most of the time I was too paralyzed with fear to remember when these things would happen. The scariest thing that happened was when I heard heavy footsteps coming down on the attic stairs, down the hall, towards our room. I was so terrified I ran down to my grandmother and told her someone was in the attic coming to get us, and I had left Cookie upstairs. Cookie slept like a rock, she never heard a thing! But Grandma, up in age now, went with me all the way upstairs with her flashlight and a fireplace poker, and banged on the walls of the staircases, yelling at whatever was bothering me to come out. It was deadly silent, but just being with Grandma made me feel safe. We checked on Cookie and she was okay. I could feel that whatever was there was gone. She drank a hot cup of tea with me, and then she gave me her Bible and told me to sleep with it under my pillow that night. Whatever it was making all that racket that night didn't come back again.

Three months after I turned 18, my grandmother passed away. I saw her sitting in the living room like I had my whole life one day, only to realize that she was already gone. It all made me wonder if all the things that I'd seen and felt in that house was all just my mind playing tricks on me. No....it's all just sound proof to me that there is something that goes on after we pass this life. I was with both my mother and my grandmother when they took their last breath 21 years apart, at the same time of day. Nothing is a coincidence to me....part of the reason why I was put on this earth was to see them through.

I don't experience much anymore, but I still feel things when people talk to me or if I go into a place I've never been, if I see a picture, and I still have prophetic dreams. I'm also thankful that my mom and grandmother didn't dismiss me when I told them I saw or felt things....I'm so glad they believed me. People need to open their minds more; children are so open to these kinds of things happening to them, and they can feel so desperately alone when they don't have their parents' support.

So, that's my two cents. Thanks for listening!!

The Magic Music Box

This is in from Marion in Fort Worth, Texas.

I had an aunt who had a wonderful old time music box. It was one of the types with a wind-up key and when you wind it up it will play music for several minutes. Since most ladies had a music box to keep their jewelry and forget-me-nots, and my aunt was no exception. She played the music box everyday and my uncle and cousin and a few other people would tease my aunt saying that if she did not stop playing it as often as she would wear it out long before his time. She would just smile and continue to run the key and listen to beautiful music.

Five months ago my aunt died. She died in her bed and her last wish was to hear her beloved music box. I took it over to her side, and when I went to wind it up for her, it started playing music before I was done winding it up. I put it next to her and put her hand on the box, and kissed her on the forehead. She smiled and then she was gone.

My uncle and cousin thought it would be good to bury the Music Box with her so that she could always listen to beautiful music for all eternity, so that the Music Box went to the grave with her. Now, five months later, when I go to the house my aunt lived in I hear the Music Box. Not only do I hear it, but also my cousin and uncle do so too, just like many other people who have been to the house after my aunt died. The pastor noted that he heard the music when he was checking on my uncle and cousin after my aunt died. This has been going on for the last 3 months. I think that my aunt is in heaven, and she looks down and look over the house and family. I think this because, none of us feel fear, when we hear the music, in fact, it gives everyone a safe, peaceful and secure feeling.

When You Know Something Is Wrong

Some years ago I lived in Lubbock,Texas. A very good friend of mine was a reporter there for a local television station and also my friend doubled as a camera man. A lot of nights I would ride all over Lubbock with my friend as we searched for something news worthy. Nothing but shoplifting and drunk driving ever really happened, a few fist fights now and then but all and all, on the nights my friend worked it was usually pretty quiet and boring.

One evening right before dark my friend picked me up and we were going to stop at a fast food place for some food and be on our way driving across the city looking for something news worthy. As I got in the car, I got a strange feeling. I looked over at my friend and said that I felt something had happened somewhere in the city and that I felt it was a horrible thing and that we would not be bored at all tonight. My friend just looked at me and said "yeah right".

We weren't even finished our food when my friend got a call from the station to go into South Lubbock, the station gave her the address and off we went still not knowing why we were told to go to that address. As we arrived we saw a lot of flashing lights from an ambulance, police cars and the coroners van. What we had been sent to was a murder scene.

If my memory serves me well, it was the home of either a school teacher or a principle. The deceased was a women laying on a bed and only dressed from the waist down. To this day I do not know if they ever found the killer(s).

That was not the first time i could sense trouble. Once I was in my room and i could tell that something was wrong with the light fixture that hung from the ceiling. It had been there for many years and all was always OK with it but I knew something was wrong. About an hour after I got the feeling that something was wrong with it, it came crashing down to the floor.

Another time I had a very strong feeling that something was wrong with my sister. I didn't know what was wrong but I did know something was not right.
My mother called my sister later and found out that earlier that day my sister suffered a miscarriage.
