Orbs and Rods are They Really Paranormal?

The one thing we can almost always count on in most paranormal online groups, is photos of orbs and rods. What are orbs and rods one might ask and, how do they fit into the paranormal field? Well, an orb is best described as a round spot of light that is not visible but is captured on a still or moving film. They do vary in size, form, color, clarity, intensity and are a delight to a lot of amateur ghost hunters and a few professional paranormal research/investigation teams as well. However, most investigation teams will not document an orb as evidence on an investigation. Some do believe that an orb is the spirit of one who is deceased but has not crossed over to the other side yet and is still earth bound. Many people believe that an orb is energy of a deceased one's spirit, angel and sign of other paranormal entities. Orbs have also been known as globes, balls of light.

Now let's move on to rods. What are rods? Well, in the world of the paranormal, rods are like orbs except for their shape. Also, rods seem to leave a tail of light behind them as they streak across the film area. Believers say that a rod is a intense amount of energy a type of strange bug we can´t see with our eyes or even beings of another dimension, also known as ultra-terrestials. Many believe that a rod is proof of the existence of the paranormal because rods seem to leave a trail of light behind them and they see to travel at very fast speeds. Rods are also captured mostly on moving film and camcorders. Rods are also know as energy rods, light rods and swimmers.

As I mentioned before, most investigation teams will not mark a orb or a rod as evidence of the paranormal. The reason for this is simply that, there are very many particles of dust in our air. We have very small particles of moisture, fungal spores, plasma, wood dust, plant material, skin cells, rock particles, sot and so on. We have also have seen insects that have shown up on film as orbs and rods, on top of this are the optical effects that cause orb or rod like shapes to appear. Being a paranormal investigator myself, I always decline to accept a rod or orb as evidence of the paranormal. As I said, there are just way to many particles of whatever in our air and, when one takes a photo, or taping a film the light from the flash and any other light source will be is reflected off of that particular particle whatever it may be.

I have several times been shown photos of orbs, and then when the orb in the photograph is blown up it seems to show images within them, more often then not I would say this is regular parodelia where our mind look at the uneven parts within the image and makes out patterns and organize them into figures in our mind, making them look like horned orbs, numbers of 666 and every other form on the earth can be found in this kind of orb footages.

To be honest about it, I have never seen any photo that would give me any reason to think  the orb or rod in the photo could be the energy of a spirit that is still earth bound. Like I explained in my entry What is Paranormal?, once the paranormal is proven, it will no longer be no more paranormal simply by the word's definition.

If anyone has any way to prove that an orb is of paranormal nature, PLEASE feel free to contact me at waikikiblogboi@gmail.com  If you only have a photo of something that says it has it's own light source then, please do not waste your time or mine. If you have a video of a speck of something that changes direction, pleas do not send me that either. Things like that have long been explained. I do not want to cause an orb war here and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you have anything that can change my mind about orbs, please send it my way.

Of course just because orbs and rods are impossible to use as paranormal evidence does not mean that every orb and rod caught on photo or video is not of a paranormal origin, the problem lays in the fact that it is so many things a orb photo can be, and the same goes for rods.

Kurtistown, Hawaii 11:20 PM December 31st 2011.

Kuristown is in the state of Hawaii on the Island of Hawaii (aka Big Island). The account I read stated that two friends were on Hwy 11 above Kurtistown at 11:20 pm when they saw a orange orb like light over the horizon this orange orb kept getting larger. The reporting witness stated that it looked as if there were red beams of light coming from under the orb.

The driver pulled over, turning off his radio and engine and got out of his car to take a closer look. the driver stated that it became closer and larger and at one point he could see inside the orb. he reported what he saw as a disk shaped craft with a top that was spinning and shaking in a rocking motion. The witness also reported spike like lights on the side and top of the craft.

The witness reported not just one but a total of 7 in the sky. They would fly over top of them and then disappear. A real hair raising experience.

The 'Iolani Palace in Honolulu, Hawaii - A Palace Were Royal Ghosts Still Walk

The 'Iolani Palace is located in downtown Honolulu on the island of Oahu, it was completed in 1882 under the rule of King Kalakaua and when he died in January of 1891 his sister Lili'uokalani became Queen. She was to the best of my knowledge the last royal to live in the 'Iolani Palace. We know so well the sad events that took place while she was Queen and she was a very beloved Queen of Hawaii, eventually she died of a stroke in 1917. Sometime after that date the U.S. government moved in and used the 'Iolani Palace as headquarters until 1969. After that the Palace was restored to as much as original condition and is now open to the public for tours.

Some say the Queen is still at the Palace. There have been many reports by both employees of the Palace, guides and tourist alike of strange things that happens there. I and friends of mine have heard so many things that supposedly happen at the 'Iolani Palace, and the surrounding Palace grounds that we wanted to go there and see what we could find out for ourselves. We went to the Palace at night and talked with one of the security guards. He was very helpful and insightful of the happenings at the Palace. Even though we could not enter we felt like we knew the Palace like the back of our hand after our conversation with the guard.

Here are some of the things he was kind enough to let us in on. In the blue room of the Palace, is a piano that is locked in a glass case. The security guards do not have the key to that glass enclosure. Yet at times, the guards can hear the piano playing. Not a song but, just keys being pressed in random order. Now, it is not one of the pianos that will play on its own with no one pressing the keys. Someone must be stroking the keys to make any sound. They of course have security cameras there and when they zoom in to the piano, no one is there and no keys are being pressed down but yet, the piano music keeps playing.

Another fascinating piece of information he gave us was, at night all the doors are sealed. About 30 minutes after the sealing the alarm goes off in the Queens bedroom and when the guards go up and check, the seal had been broken and the door to the Queens bedroom was open. The guards will of course reseal the door and about 30 minutes later, the alarm goes off again.

The Queen was known for her love for her people and her love of cigars. Yes, the Queen did smoke cigars.  At times I and many other people have smelled cigar smoke on the Palace grounds and by the Queen's statue across the street when no one was smoking at all. I can only assume that is the Queen's way of saying she is around.

The Palace has a few towers on the top of it. The guard said that on more then one occasion he would be outside at night in the wee hours in the morning, he would look up at the tower beside the imprisonment room and there would be a very bright light in the tower. Now, there is nothing strange about a bright light, except there are no lights in the towers. None of these experiences happen every night but, they do happen often. There are often voices and foot steps heard in the Palace at night when only one person is there.

He also told us that several people have reported seeing a lady dressed in an early last century style black dress, both in the Queens dressing room and in the next door office that the Queen worked. The Lady is assumed by many to be Queen Lili'uokalani, but since she only appear in the corner of your eye in a split second none have been able to say for sure whom the mysterious Lady in black is.

Not only the Palace itself but also the surrounding compound and auxiliary buildings are also known to be haunted. Another lady that we talked with mentioned that she has herself observed mysterious lights and heard things she could not explain when working late at night and while closing, she also told us that it was common knowledge among those that worked there to share other similar stories.

I do hope the Queen's spirit is still at the palace. It is her home. She loved the people of Hawaii and they loved her. I myself believe the Queen is there still looking after her home and her people. That's the way it should be.

Electromagnetic Psychokinesis

Back when I still was a teenager, I found out that I had the ability to affect electrical equipment, if I was stressed out I would frequently make computers crash or do things on their own without even pressing the keys, seemingly randomly, and my mother found herself doing the same thing causing computers or other electrical equipment close by to malfunction, when stressed, or angered.

As I grew older I experimented and found out that I could actually control electrical gadgets by mere thought, this would be enhanced by touch. One of these earliest types of experiments I tried out with my mother, was on electrical temperature meters, and tools for measuring electrical energy in volt, amp and ohm. It was surprisingly easy to make the values on such electrical meters to increase or go down by holding the probes and concentrate on which values one wanted to alter.

In later years I found that I was able to actually sense electromagnetic fields emitted from electrical household items, plants, people and this also seemed to solve another mystery that I had been growing up with, related to pains all over my body when there was high amounts of aurora borealis, which actually do alter the electromagnetic spectrum in Northern Norway where I grew up. Another phenomena that I noticed was that I would after these electromagnetic storms be more charged, and one would frequently release visible sparks when getting close to or touching objets or people, making both jump from the instant jolt.

With time I learned to focus what I think is the electromagnetic field that my own body generates, and use that to alter electrical equipment in a form of electromagnetic psychokinesis, with this I have found phones to complete dialing numbers before I have actually punched in more than the 4 first didgets, magnetic key locks to unlock by mere focusing on putting in the key card and punching the code by focusing my mind to mimic the brief signature electromagnetic change that I felt and remembered when actually using the magnetic key cards and combinations. This same minute change in the electromagnetic energy of a building at night I have even been able to use to feel when someone enters a building like the night security at the University.

In some ways i think the key to understanding telepathy, telekinesis and many other psychic phenomena's and spirit phenomena's lays in the field physics field of electromagnetism.

Telekinesis and Poltergeist Activity

In a few cases I have experienced unexplainable events, in response to extreme emotional stress. A few months ago whenever my female roommate became emotionally distressed, usually after drinking heavily and then gotten into a fight with her boyfriend. Strange things would happen around her, things would fall over when she was present, and there was no wind or seemingly anything making it happen other than her just being there. 

On several occasions light-bulbs would blow, and other electrical equipment would malfunction around her while being in a strong emotional imbalance. After weeks of this ongoing with constant repeated light-bulbs burning out, and on two occasions they did not only burn out but actually broke. She finally figured it was time to leave and there has not been any more incidences of unexplainable poltergeist activity. 

This is not the only time I have experienced a link between possible poltergeist activity and strong emotional stress, and I have heard it from many of my friends that have experienced something similar, even my mother when stressed out would seemingly make computers and other electrical equipment malfunction just by being nearby.

Mysterious pillar of light in 1968

This is a experience my mother had when she was a teenage girl back in the fall of 1968, in Northern Norway. She told me about this experience many times, and have since then tried to figure out what it could have been, could it really have been aliens or should one look for a more down to earth explanation.

This all happened on a Friday night in 1968, her and her older sister had been out dancing and were on their way back home, as they were walking the sky was clear, there was no moon but the stars still kept the path through the forest lit enough for them to see. Knowing that their parents had told them it was sinful to dance, and listening to rock music they were making plans for what to say if they happened to be asked how the night had been over at their friends house.

My mother told her older sister how she could not believe it could be evil to dance, and they both agreed, jokingly her sister starts dancing, and they are booth chuckling, as a pillar of light comes down on my aunt who is still dancing. My mother pulls my paralyzed aunt out of the light and they both start running home, as they are running my aunt is to scared to look back, but my mother wanted to see what was going on so she looks and yells for them to run faster as they could see the pillar of light is trying to search for them, zig-zagging through the forest. She could not see anything that the light could come from, no balloons, no planes or anything. To this day she does not know for sure what happened that calm autumn night in Northern Norway.

The Bright Orange Lights In The Sky

This is in from Brandon In Hawaii.

When I lived in South Carolina some years ago it was not uncommon to see strange lights in the sky. But one experience more than others stick out. It happened that this night that my car broke down while I was driving a friend home. This was late at night, in March, so it was dark but the sky was filled with one million stars.

I looked up at the stars and saw ball of bright orange lights suddenly appear from the sky. I swept over the sky in a couple of seconds and I do not understand how anything can do that and then suddenly, it started rising very quickly and was gone behind some trees then appeared again it all lasted about two minutes.

I know some believe our planet is visiting by aliens from other worlds, and I have always wondered about that too. For some reason I felt like this Earth had just been examined by what was in that orange ball of lights. We fixed the car and drove home, and found out later that others had also spotted the same ball of lights as we had.

My Guardian Angel

When I was growing up my parents was always telling my brother and I about angels, how the angels would look out for us and protect us. One night just a few years ago I was involved in a car accident. The accident was not my fault but they still had to use the jaws of life to free me from my car. I was banged up pretty bad and I didn't know it at that moment but, the damage to my right leg was really severe.

In the emergency room they did what they could to fix me up and admitted me to the hospital for my injuries. I was told the next day that my right leg would have to be amputated, all the doctors said there was no way to save it. I just would not hear of that. I couldn't see going through life without my leg. I started thinking about what my parents always told us boys about angles and I started to pray to God of all my heart to help me keep my leg.

To my surprise after praying all day and most of the night. Then around 1:30AM one of the night nurses came in my room to up hang up new medicines. We were talking when all of a sudden. I asked the nurse if she could scratch my right leg for me because it itched really bad.

The nurse told me there should be no feeling in my right leg what-so-ever however, but she did scratch it through the bed sheet and then we both could see a soft white light shining from under the sheet. The nurse pulled the sheet off from my lower leg and the light just seem to sit on my lower right leg. We were both speechless and after a few seconds the soft white light just floated away and disappeared.

That next morning when the doctors made rounds he came in and looked at my leg and to my surprise the doctor said I damn well do not believe this but Bruce, you're leg looks as if it is healing. they did more test on my leg and the results showed the bones in my legs were back together and the swelling started to go down some that very day. I started getting the itching again as I gained more feeling to my leg. They now they call me the miracle patient. The first test showed the legs was crushed. Bones broken and the whole 9 yards. The second test and x rays showed the leg to be healing very nicely.

The surgery to amputate my leg was canceled and to this day, I do have a limp when I walk but I still have both my legs. I think God sent an angel to look over me and answer my prayers. All three doctors who were taking care of me said they have never seen anything like this before.

Mystic Spiral of Light in Northern Norway

I have gotten many messages from my friends back in Norway, about this spiral of light. When this spiral of light appeared in Northern Norway in the early morning on december 9 2009, it spiked both fear and amazement, and it was taped by a lot of people, I included two videos that I found. The Spiral was reported to been seen as far South as Trondheim and in all cities in the North that did not have clouds that morning.




 Even though scientists were quick to come forward and let everybody know that this was most likely a Russian missile that blew up in the atmosphere it has opened up for a lot of conspiracy theories about UFO and aliens all over Norway. Norwegians are used to light swirling around in the sky during the dark winter times, with the Aurora Borealis dancing about shifting colors and sometimes it is even reported to be followed by sounds similar to an electrical hizz.

I will leave this up to the readers to contemplate what this might have been, was it really a missile gone astray? could it really been caused by aliens? What does the Norwegian government really know?

Strange lights In My Bedroom

This one is from Dave in Hawaii.



 I was 16 years old is when it all began for me. My family and I lived in an old house out in the country outside of Honolulu. As I said the house was old but my Mom & Dad fixed it up really nice. I was asleep one night and was awakened by a strange sound coming from my bedroom. I turned my light and the sound continued but I could not find the cause. It seemed as if the sound was coming from nowhere like, just from the air inside my room then all of a sudden the sound stopped. I waited for a minute and then turned he bedroom light off again and jumped back into bed.

I was laying on my back in bed. I had my eyes closed trying to go back to sleep but I just had a strange feeling not a bad feeling or, a fearful feeling but, rather just a strange feeling. I opened my eyes and looked straight up and I saw a strange light. At first I thought the light was on my celling but then I noticed it was not on the celling but it was in mid air between my bed and the celling. This light was moving around and, my window shade was all the way down and no light could come in from outside. There wasn't much light outside anyhow because the street light was three houses down from my house.

This light had never been there before and my parents bought that house when I was eight years old so, I actually lived in the house for eight years and never before did I see any light in my bedroom. After three nights of seeing this light in my bedroom I told my parents and they would come into my room at night and they saw the light also. It unnerved my Mother very much and we checked everything we could but came up with no explanation for this light that moved all around in my room at night.

My Father did some checking with the neighbors and at the court house and he found out that back forty five years ago there was a sixteen year old boy who lived in that house and I was using the same bedroom that he used when he lived in that house. It seems the boy became very Ill and one day had died in that room.

I decided to try talking to the light. One night I told the light I thought I knew what and who it was. I told the light that since all it ever did was float around my room it was welcome to stay. However, It could only come out during the day and it could not keep me awake at night anymore. Well, after I told the light that.I could at sometimes see the light during the day on the wall or maybe on the carpet but, the light never showed itself again at night. I never felt threatened by that light and all was ok again after I said my say to the light. So, I am sure the light was the sixteen year old boy just wanting to stay in the house he lived in. He stayed there in life, I guess he wanted to stay there in his after life too.
